do not have a very good relationship!!!
I ~~dislike~~ hate it!

Let's just say that I have washed it a million times due to sickness in my vehicle. I washed it a million times with G1 and now G2 is carrying on the tradition. Someone brought it to my attention that maybe it is the carseat and not just my 2 children. I am not really sure about that, but the more I have thought about it the more I am willing to go and buy another one!

For now, G1 is back to the infant carrier. Or, until he gets sick in that one and we go back to this one. He only weighs 19 pounds, so he is still good to go! Here is to a better week ahead!

One year ago we knew we were going to have a baby and that was it. Was it going to be a boy or girl? This sweet boy came into our lives and we have had so much fun! When they announced boy I had visions of a LOT of sporting events in my future. Graham and Garrett are already so close and I can only imagine all of the good times they have to come. We love you Garrett Cade Stanford! Oh, and he has been trying to walk the last couple of weeks and took 10 steps in a row last night!

We had Thanksgiving with my Mom on Wednesday and then went to Turkey, Texas on Thursday to spend it with Raymond's family. I usually take pictures in Turkey, but did not this year. I will make up for it at Christmas I guess.

Here is my attempt at getting a picture of the boys this morning before New Friends Day at school. I was rushing trying to get this last minute, but still!!! It made me laugh so I thought I would share. I was up almost 2.5 hours before I left the house and I was still running around like a crazy person. Raymond was at the station, so maybe when he is here it will be better!

The last couple of weeks G2 has been working on crawling. He is one week shy of 8 months. G1 did not crawl until 10 months, so let the fun begin!

This was taken the other night during 1 of our 2 thunder storms this summer. We had really bad lightning and G1 was not sure of it all. So, he wanted to snuggle! Since I am not in many pictures I made Raymond grab the camera.

This was taken just this morning. G2 had just woken up from his nap and G1 informed me he was up. Not sure if he was the cause of him being up or not. He likes to check on him during his naps!!! I told him it would be a couple of minutes before I could get him and this is what I walked in to find. G2 was as happy as could be. He loves his big brother so much. I love to watch them interact.

Carson Family Reunion

We traveled to St. Louis for the Carson Family Reunion this year. They have one every 2 years in different locations. We flew, which made it interesting but speedy none the less. I think I spent June and July worrying about flying with 2 small children!!! We left July 21st and did not get home until the 28th. We rode 4 different airplanes. G1 was excited about the airplane ride and the hotel. Oh to be little!

I did not take very many pictures because G2 did not leave my side! He would not even go with Raymond for more than 2 seconds. So, I am sorry to all the family that is not in our pictures. I took pictures at these 2 locations and these 2 locations only. The camera did go everywhere but getting it out did not happen. Also, St. Louis was HOT and HUMID! Oh my goodness, I was constantly squirting G2's head with water. It is hot in Lubbock, but nothing compared to there!

We had a great time touring the Cardinals Stadium. G1 got a Cardinals shirt and has been in that or his Josh Hamilton shirt ever since we got back.

My pictures are a little out of order but Wow, what a sight to see. We watched a short video of how it was built. G1 sat through the whole thing and actually took in everything. He is asking about 500 questions a day lately!!!! (REALLY)

This would be my husbands awesome camera skills. We are at the arch. I would love to see it in the background and not half the picture filled with the sidewalk. I am going to have to work on this with him if I want to have good pictures of my self with the boys in the future!

We did this the first day. It was amazing how we got to the top. They put you in a little round pod that can only sit 5 people. It is really not for people that get claustrophobic. I had really not thought about how we would get up there until we were about to load the little things!!! Raymond and I just looked at each other like what I have we done to ourselves. After we had already gone, we learned that the week before some lucky people were stuck in them for over an hour. Lovely! That would have not been fun with a baby. So thankful that was not us!

We did do other things as well. We took a tour of the Budweiser Brewery, went to the races, the zoo and the Magic house. We ate really good food and had a great time. We let G1 pick a horse to win at the races and he thought that he was going to get to take it home. We finally figured out why he was so upset after he kept asking about his horse. Poor baby! G1 went 90 to nothing everyday with all of his cousins. He loves them so much! They are all so sweet to include and play with him so much!

We stayed in St. Louis until Tuesday and then went back to Dallas until Thursday. All 4 of us went to a Ranger game on Tuesday night and then just Raymond and G1 went to a game on Wednesday night. After the heat and humidity in St. Louis, Dallas was nothing. We also ate at the Rainforest Cafe and went to the Galleria to take G1 ice skating. Wow, what a trip. We were all exhausted when we returned.

Now, onto my Mommy post. If you are not a mother, you might want to stop reading now! LOL So, I am proud to say that G2 has been a breastfed baby boy since birth!!! Breastfeeding takes a lot of work, especially when traveling! I had attempted to introduce my little one to formula a couple of weeks before we left in case I got in a jam along the way. Well, he did not think that it would be a good idea to do so! I am not a public breastfeeder, so I got to spend some time in bathrooms along the way pumping and prayed every time to just make a bottle. Which I did, but you know what I mean. Poor baby was really attached to me the WHOLE trip. He is a really happy baby, but with the extreme heat and activities, it made him not such a happy baby. It was exhausting!!! He also starting getting a cold on the last day and went to the dr. when we got back. I think it just drained him. Anyways, this is a blog and that is what blogs are for. I usually don't write much, but I have made up for it in this post!

I can't believe that four years ago tonight, I became a Mom to this sweet little boy! I have loved every minute of it.

He is full of energy and I am afraid going to love sports just as much as his Daddy. He still loves his little blue blanket to sleep with, wants his back rubbed, and loves to cuddle. But, then is telling me to not look at him when he is doing certain things. Being a teacher, I can't believe that he is about to be the age I am teaching. He knows all his shapes, colors, and 24 letters! We are going to work on him writing his name this summer, so he will be ready for preschool 4's!!!! Wow!

G had his first t-ball game on Saturday, April 16. This was also Raymond's birthday and I think that he could have not thought of anything better to do. G was ready to go the minute he woke up that morning. They all did a great job! It was the cutest thing to watch all those boys and girl play their first game. I loved it and can't wait till the next one!

I can't believe it has already been 3 months! Before I know it he will be 3 years! I had my own little photo shoot today and both boys did great!

G2 is such a little talker. I love when both boys interact together. It is so cute!
G2 weighs almost 13 pounds now. He has really put on the weight in the last month!

Raymond's mother made a donation to the Christian Women's Job Corps for "You've been Pigged!" She sent it to Raymond at the Fire station.

The boys and I brought donuts to him this morning in hopes that we would be there for the surprise. They were originally supposed to show up between 8 and 10. We showed up a little after 9 and stayed till 10, but no pig. I called Nell when I got in the car and she said they were going to try for lunch time. So, after running a couple of errands and stalking from the Whataburger parking lot, they came!!!! Raymond had no idea this was happening. Before leaving they ask you if you would like to keep it going for a donation. Raymond and his crew decided to send it to another fire station. Can't wait to hear what they thought about it.

It was the sweetest little pig. He/She was only 3 weeks old. Now, G1 wants one!!!

Well, G1 made the t-ball cut by only a couple of days! He is the youngest on his team. Raymond and I are excited to watch him play. We can't wait till his first game April 16!!!!

If you know my father-n-law, you know what a HUGE purchase this was for him. He has not had a new truck since the beginning of the 80's!

I don't have a picture of his old truck, but take away the camper shell on this one and you basically have his truck. Raymond and I had our first date in this truck! The speedometer did not work that night. LOL You will probably still see Bill driving this one as his new truck sits in the barn. It might take him a while to drive the new one. If fact, Raymond drove it home yesterday before Bill even drove it once.

Here is the old blue dodge that he also still drives around the house! I really want to set this truck by my gate and make the bed a flower bed. Do you think he would part with it since he has updated! This is the actual truck that I took a picture of after getting my new camera a couple of summers ago.

We went to Dallas for a couple of days and toured Jerry world!!!! I will have to scan our family picture on the star! It is an unbelievable place. It is worth seeing.

We also went to 3, yes 3, Ranger games. Most of my pictures from the games are on my phone. I will try to transfer them. We also took G to Six Flags and the Dallas World Aquarium. We had a great time!

Swimming Lessons - End of June

G did a great job at swimming lessons, once he got past the first 2 days!!!! He did get in the water everyday, but the first 2 days needed some forcing. After that he jumped right in everyday. Since then he loves the water. Maybe next summer he will have a smoother start!

G's cousin came to town last week and they had a great time. My Mom and I try to get them together as much as possible. They love spending time with each other. They went swimming and bowling. Graham had a Halloween Party last Sunday and it was so much fun! We decorated pumpkins, played pin the nose on the pumpkin, and played. They all looked so cute in their costumes. I hope that we can do it again next year!

Lakeridge - TECH DAY!!!

Lakeridge has a tradition on the week of Tech homecoming to have Tech Day! In our classroom we painted shirts with the double T on it and when the football players came today they signed all of them. I bet those boys were tired of signing over 100 of them!!! The cheerleaders, Raider Red, and a couple of players came. It was a lot of fun and the kids were just in heaven!

This was my first picture of the day. This is Graham with his new little friend. I have heard that they are quiet the pair in their room! So CUTE!

My assisstant and I took our boys from the CDO side to join in the fun with our class for a while.

Look at these YUMMY donuts!!!! Austin was here today because he is soon to have a new cousin!!!! So, we came over to MiMi's house to play and brought a surprise.

The boys had so much fun together. It is funny to listen to them talking to each other and actually having a conversation. They are getting so big!

I have not posted in a while because I have been without a camera! Hopefully I will get the one I WANT in the next couple of weeks! So, I thought I would post some pics from earlier in the summer. Remember our bird nests, well... we made some feeders for them and hung them on the trees. I really don't think the birds even messed with them, but Graham thought he was feeding the birds!!!

And... one of the last pics. that I loaded the day before I injured my camera with liquid!!!! I have not had good luck lately with electronic devices and liquid. I have also been without a phone the last week for the same reason. So...if you think that I had your number in my phone, I would appreciate a text with your number!!!

I felt like I was Dorothy driving home! My Mom and I went to the parade of homes and this is the view I had coming home. WOW! And... I drove through this!!!! This was at 1585 and Slide. I was about to turn onto Slide rd.!!

I like the contrast in the rear view mirror! What a difference!

We have 4 bird nests with eggs at our house! The same yellow breasted birds have continued to come back year after year, but this is the first time that we have had all nests full. They have used all of these nests throughout the years.

Organizing and Boxing!

This week I have been putting away, cleaning out, and organizing all of my school stuff! I have accumulated a lot of stuff over the last 8 1/2 years!!! As for all of the tubs... I have had those almost as long. I purchased all of those when I taught 2nd grade at South. The only storage that we had was above the lockers! So, I purchased tubs for all of my stuff. You would think that I could have put all this in the new barn, but it is not finished yet. Raymond and his buddy just finished the electrical and now onto the insulation. Atleast it is all put away for now!

Graham had a great birthday! We had it at the house and besides the weather being a little chilly, it was perfect. All the grandparents along with Raymond and I, got Graham a swingset/fort for his birthday. All the kids played on that, a bouncer, the trampoline, and all the other things to ride on! I think that they should all come back this summer!!!! It was a lot of fun!

I just want to say thank you for those of you that posted something about "shots."
We all just want to do the right thing for our kids. There is so much out there right now about what to do. I will and have given Graham all of his shots to date and on the date!

I believe that God puts struggles in all of our lives. Whether it be finances, death, or special needs children! (just a couple of things, whether it is caused by shots or not!) As a teacher, the children with special needs are the ones that we LOVE! I feel that I am speaking for a majority of teachers here. They are the ones that you follow through the years. They hold a special place in our hearts. Those children are known throughout the building. I am not saying that I don't love my regular ed. kids as well, but I hope you get what I am saying. For those that know the ones that I have, I check on them all the time to see how they are doing. And everyone knows the one that absolutely stole my heart! So, I believe that God gives those children to special people to love and be loved. I know that they are challenging but don't we all face challenges everyday. Don't we all face things that are completely different from our neighbor, friend, or family members. We all just want to live our life to the fullest!

Wow! What a post! I will now get off this subject and start posting more pictures of Graham. (ERIN) I have had a GREAT week with Graham. Having these fun filled days just makes me wish for summer even more!!!!

To Vaccinate or not...

I am curious about what some of you do or think about this subject. You can leave an anonymous response if you want to because I know that this is a very touchy subject. But, I wonder if you are choosing not to vaccinate because of Autism or other reasons. I have been doing some research on the web and through books and have my own thoughts on vaccinations. I am curious not only as a parent but as a teacher of little ones also.

Please let me know or if you have some good websites one way or the other!
